Netflix: the binge library
Netflix is organised around complete seasons released at once and a large film catalogue, available almost everywhere. Its originals are the main reason people keep it year-round.
Hulu: the weekly TV habit
Hulu’s distinctive value is current network shows soon after they air. For viewers who follow several network series each week, it replaces much of what live TV used to provide. Disney owns Hulu outright and is integrating it into the Disney+ app, while still selling it separately.
The bundle question
If you already pay for Disney+, a Disney+ and Hulu bundle usually makes Hulu inexpensive to add. That changes the comparison: it is no longer Netflix against Hulu, but Netflix against a modest upgrade to something you already have.
Keeping both
Plenty of households keep both. The test is simple: were both opened most weeks last month? If one sat idle, rotate it — streaming services carry no minimum term, and profiles survive cancellation.
