Is SubTracker legit? Who runs it, how it makes money, and what it can and cannot see

This page answers the questions people ask before trusting a subscription tracker with their list — and the question we get from people who were charged by an app with a similar name. It states facts we can verify; it is not a review.

Who runs SubTracker

SubTracker is operated by Innopulse Consulting GmbH, Gotthardstrasse 30, 6300 Zug, Switzerland (UID CHE-219.727.921). Company details are in the imprint, and you can reach us at hello@subtracker.io.

What it can and cannot see

SubTracker does not connect to bank accounts or cards and holds no transaction history. You add each subscription yourself, so the only data it has is what you type in: the service, the amount, the billing cycle and the dates. That is slower to set up than bank-linked apps and considerably more private. Data is stored with Supabase in London, United Kingdom under UK GDPR, and you can export everything as CSV or JSON or delete your account permanently from settings.

How it makes money

The free plan tracks unlimited subscriptions with no time limit. SubTracker earns money from optional paid plans: Plus at $5.90/month (or $49/year) adds renewal reminders, price-increase alerts, reports and export; Family at $9.90/month adds a shared list for up to 10 people. New accounts start with 14 days of Plus included, with no card and no charge when it ends. There are no ads in SubTracker.

How to cancel a SubTracker plan

Paid plans are billed through Stripe and can be cancelled at any time from Plan & Billing in the app, which opens the billing portal. Access continues until the end of the paid period. Free accounts have nothing to cancel; you can delete the account in settings.

Similarly named apps

SubTracker is a web app at subtracker.io that installs on a phone from the browser. Several unrelated apps in the Apple App Store and Google Play use similar names, such as "SubTracker: Subscriptions" or "Subtrack". They are operated by other developers. If a charge from an app store mentions a similar name, it was not made by SubTracker: open the subscription settings of the app store you paid with (Apple ID or Google Play) to see and cancel it there.

We do not publish ratings or testimonials on this site, and we have removed claims we could not verify. If you want to know whether SubTracker suits you, the free plan is the honest test: it has no time limit and needs no card.
