The short answer
You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, so cancelling early does not lose you time. Deleting the Hinge app does not cancel a subscription.

Find out who bills you
Hinge subscriptions are billed by the App Store, Google Play or Hinge payment. Cancel where you subscribed.

App Store or Google Play
On iPhone open your Apple subscriptions, tap Hinge, then Cancel Subscription. On Android use Google Play subscriptions.

Hinge payment
In the Hinge app tap the gear icon for Account Settings, then Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.

Cancel a day early
Hinge subscriptions renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the next billing period.
Before you cancel
- •Deleting the Hinge app does not cancel a subscription.
- •With App Store or Google Play billing, deleting your account does not cancel either. With Hinge payment, deleting the account cancels immediately and forfeits the remaining benefits.
- •To move from HingeX to Hinge+, you have to cancel HingeX first and then subscribe to Hinge+.

Before you cancel entirely
Before cancelling, check whether a cheaper tier or an annual plan would solve the problem. Annual billing is typically fifteen to twenty percent cheaper than monthly.
Deleting is not cancelling
The most common mistake with dating subscriptions is deleting the app or the profile and assuming billing stops. With app store billing it does not; the subscription keeps renewing until it is cancelled where it was bought.
Packages renew at their full length
Dating services sell one-, three- and six-month packages that renew automatically, often for the same length. The renewal can be the largest single charge — note the date when you subscribe.
Pause the profile, not the subscription
Hiding or pausing a profile is a privacy setting, not a billing one. If you want a break without paying, cancel the renewal and let the paid period run out.
If you are charged after cancelling
- •Keep the cancellation confirmation. An email or a screenshot showing the date is the document that resolves this, and it is much easier to save now than to reconstruct later.
- •If you are charged after cancelling, contact the provider first with the confirmation attached. Most reverse the charge without argument when presented with a timestamped confirmation.
- •If the provider does not resolve it, your bank or card issuer can reverse the payment. Card networks treat a charge after a documented cancellation as a straightforward chargeback, and the confirmation is the evidence you need.
- •For recurring card payments you can also instruct your bank to block future payments to that merchant. In the EU and UK, banks are required to honour this instruction even if the merchant continues to request payment.
