Which subscription tracker works in Spain?
Spanish bank coverage is better than much of southern Europe but merchant detection still misses local providers. What to use and what to check.
The short answer
Aggregator coverage of the large Spanish banks is reasonable, so bank-linked detection can work here — but merchant recognition still skews Anglophone and misses local providers. Check the bank list first, run a detection tool for one month if it connects, then keep the list somewhere that warns you before renewals.

The two-part check
Can the tool connect to your bank? Coverage of the large Spanish institutions is generally reasonable, which is better than parts of southern Europe. Smaller regional banks and cajas are less certain. Check this before anything else, because no amount of merchant coverage helps if the account cannot be linked.
Will it recognise your providers? Less good. Detection patterns are weighted towards large US and UK merchants. Spanish streaming, regional press, local gyms and telecom bundles frequently arrive as unclassified recurring charges.
Test it properly during the trial: pick your five least mainstream subscriptions and see how many are identified without help. Two out of five means you will be entering the rest by hand anyway — at which point you are running a manual tracker that also holds your transaction history.
What to use
Your bank's own recurring-payments view, plus the SEPA direct debit list. Free, no third party, and it covers everything billed that way — which in Spain includes most gym, utility and telecom arrangements.
A detection tool for one month, if it connects and the coverage test passes. Discovery is a one-off job; there is little left to detect afterwards.
A manual tracker for the ongoing list. No coverage dependency, works identically in any market, and needs no standing bank connection. SubTracker supports EUR among 25 currencies with a permanent free tier.
The two app stores and PayPal, always, because none of the above can see them.
Your position on cancellation
EU consumer rules apply, which gives more leverage than the tooling picture suggests.
A withdrawal period on many new distance contracts, with the usual digital-content caveat where you expressly consented to immediate performance.
Cancelling an online contract must not be made unreasonably difficult.
Unfair terms in standard-form consumer contracts are not binding, which is the argument against a disproportionate notice period.
Complaints go to the regional consumer authorities and the national system; the European Consumer Centre handles cross-border cases, which for streaming and software is the normal situation.
Two practical notes
Telecom and utility bundles are where Spanish households most often overpay, and they are also where the detection tools do worst — the bundle appears as one charge and its components are invisible. Worth reviewing the components separately once a year.
Annual gym contracts commonly carry a thirty-day notice period. Set the reminder at thirty-plus days, not seven; a warning inside the notice window arrives after the last point at which cancelling would have worked.
Manuelle Werkzeuge stellen diese Verbindung nie her.
Was es kostet

Do subscription trackers connect to Spanish banks?+
Coverage of the large institutions is generally reasonable, which is better than much of southern Europe; smaller regional banks and cajas are less certain. Check the supported-bank list before anything else.
Why does detection miss my Spanish subscriptions?+
Merchant recognition patterns are weighted towards large US and UK brands, so Spanish streaming, regional press, local gyms and telecom bundles often arrive as unclassified recurring charges rather than identified subscriptions.
What is the best free way to track subscriptions in Spain?+
Your bank's recurring-payments and SEPA direct debit views cover most of what is billed that way at no cost. Add the App Store, Google Play and PayPal subscription lists, which no bank feed can see.
How much notice do Spanish gym contracts need?+
Thirty days is common on annual contracts. Set the reminder at thirty-plus days rather than seven, because a warning inside the notice window arrives after cancelling would have prevented the renewal.
