Looking for a Copilot Money alternative

Copilot is iOS-first and US-focused. What to use if you need the web, are outside the US, or want subscriptions handled properly rather than as a category.

The short answer

Copilot's constraints are platform and geography rather than capability: iOS-first and built around US institutions. If either is your problem, Monarch covers the web and Emma covers Europe. If subscriptions specifically are your problem, none of the three models notice periods or price baselines.

What actually limits it

Platform. iOS-first. If your household includes Android, or you want to work at a laptop, that is a hard boundary rather than a preference.

Geography. Built around US financial institutions. Outside the US the connection question usually settles it before any feature comparison starts.

Scope. Budgeting with subscriptions as a category, the same shape as Monarch and PocketGuard.

Those are design decisions, not gaps. Copilot is well made within them.

Where each constraint leads

Need the web or Android: Monarch, which covers both and is the usual comparison.

Outside the US: Emma for the UK and Europe. The question is whether the aggregator supports your bank at all, and that is worth checking before anything else.

Subscriptions are the actual problem: a dedicated tracker. What you gain is per-subscription reminder lead times, a stored price baseline so an increase is visible, and support for intervals that are neither monthly nor annual. What you lose is budgeting.

Want to stop connecting accounts: a manual tracker removes the aggregator entirely, at the cost of detection.

The comparison worth making

Not feature counts. Three things decide whether a tool changes an outcome.

Reminder lead time, per item. A warning one day before a renewal is useless when the notice period is thirty days. Defaults of one to three days are common and make the feature decorative.

Whether unusual intervals are expressible. Every two months, every eighteen months, one-time annual payments. Tools that model only monthly and annual force a workaround, and faked intervals produce wrong dates.

Whether you can get your data out. Full CSV or JSON, self-service. It is what makes any switch cheap, including the next one.

Was sich beim Wechsel ändert

Ein manueller Tracker weiss, was du eingetippt hast: Anbieter, Betrag, Verlängerungsdatum.

Rocket Money kontaktiert Anbieter in deinem Namen.

You want a beautifully built iOS budgeting app. That is what Copilot is, and SubTracker is not competing for that. If the constraints do not bite for you, there is no reason to move.

Was es kostet

Frequently asked questions

Is Copilot Money available on Android?+

It is iOS-first, which is the most common reason people look for alternatives. Monarch covers both web and Android and is the usual comparison for households that are not all on Apple devices.

Does Copilot Money work outside the US?+

It is built around US financial institutions, so the connection question usually settles it before any feature comparison. Emma is the stronger option for UK and European bank coverage.

Is Copilot good for tracking subscriptions?+

As a category within budgeting. Like other budgeting apps it does not hold notice periods, per-subscription reminder lead times or a price baseline against which an increase would be visible.

What is the difference between Copilot and Monarch?+

Platform coverage mainly — Monarch covers web and Android where Copilot is iOS-first. Both are budgeting products with subscriptions as one category rather than the focus.
